Tales of Tess
Description:
Anthony Ferro, artist, choreographer, and teacher, created Tess while a professor of Dance at Marymount Manhattan College. Having re-kindled his inspiration as a visual artist, Tony would begin each morning before class by creating an impromptu watercolor. Over time, one character insisted on manifesting herself: Tess. James Sutton, Tony’s spouse, as well as a choreographer, writer, and former professor at NYU, began penning couplets to accompany the illustrations. This singular collaboration resulted in Tales of Tess.
