Historical fiction during the years 1842 to1875 that chronicle the life of Peter Goutre who was murdered on Hat Island in Washington State in Nov. or 1875. Goutre was an Hudson's Bay Trader who came to Puget Sound and homesteaded Tulalip Bay until the Elliott Point Treaty in 1855. Peter was finally bought out by the government sometime in the early 1860s.
