Born at Home: The Modern Mom's Guide to a Calm and Healthy Home Birth in a Hectic World!

Have you ever pictured yourself having a baby in the comfort of your home where you are able to actually embrace the labor and delivery moment while remaining in full control of how you welcome your new bundle of joy into the world? Well, in ever increasing numbers, women around the world are choosing to do just that.In the United States alone, roughly 1% of all births take place every year at home or at a birthing center. While this percentage may not seem significant, it does, however, represent a very real shift in the minds of more and more women away from conventional thought which tries to dictate that hospitals are the only safe places to give birth.Having successfully given birth to all four of my children from the comforts of home, I can personally attest to the many benefits of home births. Under the watchful eyes of an experienced midwife, I have been able to deliver two girls and two boys via this non-traditional method. To this day, all four of my children remain very healthy and seldom have a need to visit a doctor's office. This book is my attempt to raise the level of awareness of home births in order that women may have a safer, less invasive, and more personal childbirth experience. From my journey, countless other women have been inspired to take their own.
