In 1965, 18-year-old Wesley Sanders heads west from Missouri on a Trailways bus looking for adventure and lands a summer job at a soda fountain in Yellowstone Park. He meets and falls for Lizzie, a Mormon cowgirl, who has a different view of romance, and star-crossed misunderstandings result. But tragic news from back home forces Wesley to make mature decisions, and in the odyssey that follows, secrets and lies are revealed, and Wesley finds love and friendship that one special summer.
