Captured from his home by pirates as a teenager and sold into slavery in Ireland, Patrick escaped his captors only to return years later as Ireland's famous Apostle and now the world's most decorated Patron Saint. Despite that legacy, though, very little is known about the figure's origin and heritage. Until now.In the search for a more concrete history of St. Patrick, author Marcus Losack has spent the past four years extensively researching one new theory surrounding the figure's origin, stemming from a small, country chateau in Brittany, France. Investigations into this site unearthed the fact that Patrick's father, Calpurnius, owned the first building there, which was burned to the ground by pirates.
