Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio, collection of hundred tales united by a frame story. One of the best-known books of the early Italian Renaissance. Probably composed between 1349 — 1354. The majority of narrative short stories is devoted to a love, beginning from her erotic and finishing tragic aspects. Stylistically, it is the most perfect example of Italian classical prose, and its influence on Renaissance literature throughout Europe was enormous.
