The Green River Historic Preservation Commission is a volunteer board that works to protect and promote the City of Green River, Wyoming's cultural, social, economic, political, architectural, and engineering heritage. Through these efforts, the Commission works to foster civic pride among residents, promote city attractions to residents, visitors, and tourists, and serve as a support and stimulus to business and industry to strengthen the economy of Green River.Beginning in 1991, the Commission began publishing articles of local historic interest in The Green River Star newspaper under the heading Echoes From the Bluffs. The articles contained in Volume II were published between 1998 and 2003.
