Product Description Chosen by truth. Marked for death. Halia must choose to save her kingdom, or let it fall.Misroth’s king has died, and the entire kingdom is in mourning—or so it seems. After her father is crowned regent in his brother’s stead, Princess Halia discovers a terrible truth that could end her life. But when she flees to live in hiding, she discovers that the Royal Guard are not all she has to fear. Dark creatures stalk her, reports of oppression and war reach her ears, and her burden to protect her kingdom—at any cost—will not be silenced. Review "Great start to an exciting series!" --David Estes, best-selling author of the Fatemarked epic "I was not able to put this book down!" --Amazon reviewer "I LOVED this book!" --Goodreads reviewer "A high fantasy book with action, intrigue, and adventure." --Amazon reviewer "...kept me reading until it was nearly 2 in the morning." --Goodreads reviewer "A must-read!" --Amazon reviewer "I cannot recommend this book enough!" --Amazon reviewer From the Author Is Halia's gift for knowing the truth a curse or a blessing? The concept for Silent Kingdom came to me when I was thinking about how people handle the truth. It made me wonder what sort of trouble someone could get into if they had a gift that showed them the truth and compelled them to voice it. What would happen if you knew a dark secret that could cost you your life, and your gift wouldn't let you hold it back? Fantasies like Lord of the Rings inspired me, making me want to create a world readers could get lost in and a plot that would keep them on the edges of their seats. From that first concept that gave birth to Halia's gift, my world for this series grew and grew, until I was creating new monsters and dreaming up conflicted characters to get tangled up in Halia's adventures.
