The Corpse at the End of the Chapter: a Copper Penny

Copper Penny is having the Grand Opening of her bookstore, The Book Nook, in Misty Valley, Oregon. Although it is a rainy fall Day, several people show up to visit and browse. But one customer's browsing leads to the discovery of a body. The sheriff is called in, but he is out of is element. There hasn't been a murder in Misty Valley in fifty year--and he isn't even that old! WHen another murder victim shows up a couple of days later, th sheriff really needs help, and Copper and her friend Louise are only too happy to offer it. The problem is, Misty Valley is a small town--everyone knows each other. It's hard to find a suspect when they are all your friends. And before they can solve these two murders, a third victim shows up. Are all three murders related? Copper, louise, the sheriff, and a deputy in the next town work hard to find the killer (or killers) before he/they strike again.
