Clearmont started out as a water and passenger stop on the Burlington Northern, now Burlington Northern Sante Fe, Railroad. This book tells about the coming of the train to Clearmont, and how much of the area history was based on the train. Passengers, homesteaders, cattle, freight and now, mainly coal, has been carried b y train.
