Patanjali is the standard authority on Raja Yoga [the science of meditation] both in the East and in the West. The original Sanskrit Sutras were probably written about 500 B.C.

In The Light of the Soul these Sutras are presented for a Western Audience in the form of an English paraphrase, communicated telepathically by "The Tibetan", thus constituting, according to the author, a unique and significant approach to the problems involved in translation.
