Seasons of Change

The civil rights legislation of the 1960s was only the beginning for African American freedom. While people marched, bled, and died for their cause, a teenage girl and her teammates in tiny Waverly, Tennessee, were staging their own battle for equality. Being spit upon, cursed, and banned from certain venues was part of their daily struggles as they sought to play for a state basketball championship. Seasons of Change is the true story of Sally Smith and the Waverly Tigerettes.
