Make It Happen: Big Boy Wills, Cartoonist (Lower Level)

When he was a child, Big Boy Wills was diagnosed with autism. Autism affects the way a person sees and interacts with other people and the world around them. Big Boy interacts with the world by drawing cartoon characters. With the help of his pencils and his family, Big Boy has come out of his shell, turning his drawings into educational materials to help others that have had their lives affected by autism. To become a cartoonist Big Boy had to be disciplined, work hard, have a plan, and of course collaborate with others. His story will show young readers, how they too, can Make It Happen!
