The Demise of Darwinism: Defending Creation Truth

In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. The light shineth in the darkness, but the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:1-5)

How different from the mistaken notion of Darwinism a theory in crisis, as evidenced from growing dissent within modern mainstream science. Ever since Darwinian evolution was first postulated, advances in a great many branches of science have demolished its claims, one by one. As explained by Dutch botanist, Hugo de Vries (1904): Natural selection may explain survival of the fittest, but not arrival of the fittest. Meanwhile, there are few places where more nonsense is spoken than in secular academia undermining both science and Christianity.

For decades, theologians resisted evolutionary scenarios while scientists were promoting them. Today, however, the tables are turned: theologians are pushing evolutionary eons while scientists are abandoning them. The collapse of Darwinism may elevate the discussion, but that is not sufficient.

There comes a time when we must find a new colt and ride it, pursuing genuine science and responsible hermeneutics, Scripture being the Lens. Christians should be teaching a Biblically-based model of origins, showing how six-day creation fits best with the God of the Bible. At stake are the sufficiency and authority of God s Word and His attributes for, whenever people build on partial premises, they are no longer seeking Truth.
