Description:
This volume is designed as a companion to "Freemasonry Illustrated," issued in July, 1879, the third edition of which has just been issued. In the preface of that work in he following language is used: "To strengthen the testimony of these godly men, [seceders who had testified against the lodge and exposed its so-called secrets] and by a most rigid examination and cross-examination of the witnesses of the defendant in this struggle against the powers of darkness to prove that the published revaluations of Freemasonry are correct, and that the doctrines inculcated in its ritual and ceremonies, as stated by the highest Masonic authorities, are more damning than any one would dream from the more personal of the ritual and its horrible oaths, is the object of this volume.
