Amelia Heraldy dreams of freedom; the freedom to do what she wants when she wants without the constant judgment of her friends and family. She especially wants to be free from her ties with the royal family. Soon, she gets a taste of what freedom is like, leaving her wanting it more and more of it. This sudden burst of freedom leads her to look at life through different eyes and a certain Spanish merchant who helps to show her this freedom.
