The Teacher Within The Coach is a textbook, designed to be used in a college classroom setting, either undergraduate or graduate. The book was written by Dr. Philip Kelly, a professor at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. He designed and wrote the book as a workbook illustrating the various problems, both social and sports-related. The book utilizes a fictional high school and its new hockey coach. Although the episodes are based on a high school hockey program, the situations are usual and customary in any school setting for any sport.
