If: Devotional Edition

If weighed in a balance, far more conversation and preaching is centered on the nature of salvation than is given to the subject of how we live as Christians. This is unfortunate, especially when so much of Scripture hones in on how to live victoriously (Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect – Matthew 5:48).

In this small book, If, Amy Carmichael asks little questions that, if examined in the Spirit, pack a big punch. Each question provides an opportunity to consider our motives and align our thoughts, attitudes and actions with those of Christ. How can we teach others the way of the cross if we don’t first allow the Lord to deal with us?

A relevant Bible verse and prayer follow each “if” question in this edition. The intent is that it would be used as a daily devotional and a launching pad for deeper study and prayer for the edification of the reader.
