The Man-Eaters of Tsavo

Lieutenant-Colonel John Henry Patterson was in East Africa to oversee the building of a railway bridge. Among the many obstacles he and his crew encountered were the two famous man-eating lions of Tsavo. In his 1907 book, Patterson recounts how he hunted and killed the two lions, along with many other tales of adventure concerning local tribes, East African wildlife, and hunting expeditions.
