Traveler's Rest

When Abby Hollingsworth's husband, Sterling, suddenly dies, Abby is forced to sell her home and flee to Traveler's Rest, South Carolina, where she plans to fix up the century-old home she has inherited. Halfway through the job, and most of the way through her money, she finds out just how difficult a renovation can be.

Thrown into a new way of life, and mentally unprepared for the challenges she must face, Abby questions her faith as she struggles through her ordeals. Did her faith die along with her husband? Abby struggles to redefine her life, maintain her tenuous relationship with her daughter, Shelby, and rediscover her purpose while living next door to her mother-in-law, Dinky. Beneath each struggle is a challenge, and Abby wonders, Is God enough? Will he take care of my needs? Does God care? Abby's burdens pile up until she learns to turn them over to God.
