A Memoir of Parting is the story of a well- balanced love as it slowly becomes unequal. When mental and physical health decline, the healthier one picks up the slack, first to compensate for lapses or limitations, until the balance permanently shifts. Love stretches when one must care for the other; love deepens with the knowledge that “parting” is inevitable.
