This book identifies microbial technology and engineering as essential and important subject areas of engineering and applied sciences. For recoveries of products, the knowledge of bioconversions, bioremediations and biotransformation are found to be essential to identify the potentiality of specific microbes and their uses in genetic engineering. It is well-known that microbes could modify the process of chemical units, involved in chemical and biochemical processes. However, it should be emphasised that the knowledge has to be developed to differentiate the microbes, as designed by genetic manipulations, through mutations and the microbes that are being designed by genetic engineering modifications.
