Elijah Uncloaked: A Man for All Ages: Yesterday, Today and Always

Treasures in scripture abound. It takes very little digging to unearth some real jewels in both the Old and New Testaments. When I found Elijah to be one of those unpolished jewels, I also discovered that he had a great deal to tell us about life. A prophet he was and a persevering one too, but it wasn’t always an easy life for him, and he seemed happy to leave it all for the better life. Yet, even after his dramatic ride off into the blue, Elijah, much like the lyrics of an old familiar song, kept coming back like a song. He was more than a hero to the Israelites and the early Christians, so he is frequently found again in New Testament writings—right up there with the greats—Jesus and Moses. May Elijah, the man and his message, resound in your heart.
