My Heart Remembers

Orphaned in a tenement fire, three Irish immigrant children, hoping to be adopted, are sent to Missouri aboard an orphan train. The oldest is Maelle, and at only eight-years-old, she devises a scheme to keep what's left of her little family together. Maelle slips a keepsake into the packs of her younger brother and sister just before they're taken away.Despite her desperate attempts to keep her siblings together, each child is sent to live with a different family. Maelle vows she will never stop searching for her siblings, and swears that she will find them again someday. Sixteen years later, Maelle is still searching. And so are her brother and sister. United by blood, divided by time, will they ever be reunited?
