The wounds of war are deep. Charity Langdon knows this well, having lost her family and her home to Sherman’s army. As a POW in a notorious Confederate prison, he was severely wounded as he tried to prevent the beating death of a friend. Traveling home after the War, he was one of the few who escaped the explosion of the ill-fated steamship Sultana.
