Divorcee Charlotte Morley is on Turtle Island visiting her grandparents. Also visiting are her conniving twin cousins, who disappear shortly after their arrival.

In between refereeing feuds and getting a little comic relief from townsfolk, Charlotte is joined by her best friend and a wealthy relative, and together they help bring restoration to a hurting community and the family’s church, whose pastor has recently been ousted. When her family tree starts to shake from its sandy foundation, Charlotte soon discovers dark family secrets and receives warnings from God.
