Richelieu, 1937

Richelieu, 1937 is a collection of stories that reads like a novel as it tells of the lives of people living, in and around the little town of Richelieu, Tennessee, in 1937. The book is a return to earlier times, when sharecroppers plowed with mules and a small town doctor made house calls in his Model A Ford. Life appeared to be calmer then, and people less complicated. But, as the stories unfold, it becomes clear that back then, as now, human behavior was a complexity and things were not always as simple as they seemed.
