As the reader turns the pages of this book, the illustrations and simple text reveal more about the animals and plants that live in the ocean. Deep down at the depths of the ocean are crabs, squid and sea cucumber and on the surface are seals and finally there is a panoramic spread giving a birds-eye view of the ocean. A map at the back of the book shows where similiar environments can be found and a simple quiz invites readers to go back and search for some of the animals in the book.
