Revelation is the most frightening book of the Bible, yet the most encouraging. It depicts our world in its death throes as evil rulers persecute the people of God and thousands of believers are martyred for their faith. We need to realize that its grisly descriptions of Armageddon and the Antichrist are not the central themes of Revelation. Instead this last book is about the glorious return of Jesus Christ. It is tting that the last word of the book is an invitation for all of us to arm our personal faith in the Lamb, Stan Key writes, for all that he is, all that he has done, and all that he will yet accomplish in the future. Despite all the disturbing things in the book of Revelation, The Last Word is an upliing Bible studya ray of divine hope for the darkest hour of our world.
