Dr. Patterson was perhaps the most influential person involved in the Southern Baptist resurgence. Now some, including Paige Patterson himself, would certainly take issue with that declaration. I have had the pleasure to study under this old bulldog of a believer and I can tell you, his humility, based on his true understanding of his relationship with Christ, has kept him on the mark, even now, in his autumn years.
