I Have My Ups and Downs: My Life With Autism, Bipolar Disorder, and Transsexuality

This is the story of author Carol Jean Wasinger's life with mental illnesses, and how she copes and overcomes life's challenges. The author was born in St. Louis and raised in the mountains of Colorado. She received her transgender diagnosis in 1996 and her bipolar diagnosis in 2004. In 2005 she learned that her autistic category was the more severe Kanner's form (classical autism). Since then she has totally immersed herself in learning as much as she can about these conditions and doing everything possible to mitigate them.
