As a member of the Presence Project, Mark Dwyer has investigated dozens of cases involving the paranormal. In this novel, he chronicles the story of a select few who are called upon to destroy an ancient magical manuscript. Dwyer learns about the manuscript when Edward Task, a government agent who also investigates strange phenomena, tells him about a young man named Jack Donovan who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
