Philly's Final Four

UConn rocks the cradle of Women's Basketball. The staff of The Inquirer follows the 1999-2000 season of women's college basketball that culminated in the Women's Final Four championship games in Philadelphia. UConn, Penn State, Tennessee and Rutgers met to find a winner. UConn defeated Tennessee for the national crown 71-52. This book follows the fast-paced season that was the road to Philly. It also traces the roots of modern women's basketball to the early victories of the Immaculata College Mighty Macs from suburban Philadelphia who won the national title three years in a row from 1972 through 1974.
