French Foreign Legion; 3rd March Regiment World War I

This is a post war history of the Foreign Legion. It begins with a discussion of the history and evolution of the Legion, but quickly gets into World War I. It discusses the organization of the Legion units sent to France and then goes into their operations. It wraps up with a series of little stories, vignettes of a paragraph or two, about an incident that paints a picture of life in the trenches and the nature of the men who served in the Foreign Legion.
