Ivory Hunters: A Novel of Extinction

This first novel from Greg Lewbart, a veterinarian and assistant professor of aquatic medicine at North Carolina State University, is a page-turning scientific mystery that raises important issues about man's exploitation of the environment. This timely story revolves around the discovery of a previously thought to be extinct species of bird, the ivory-billed woodpecker.
