A comparative novel about two girls growing up in a small New England town that emphasizes the difference between a child reared in a "Day Care Center" and a child reared at home with the mother. It relates to the heartaches suffered by the girl who in a "Day Care Center" until entering the first grade and the emotional problems she developed growing up and finding love in all the wrong places.
