The Civil War

The Civil War seeks to acquaint your students with the causes and results of the American Civil War. They will learn why the war began, what each side believed, who their leaders were, what prison life was like as a POW, and morethrough fictional journal entries, newspaper articles, letters, and editorials. The activities and questions following each article encourage students to think critically about the past,ponder why people made the choices they made, and what they may have done if faced with a similar situation.
