World War II - Pacific seeks to acquaint your students with the causes and results of Pacific front of World War II. They will learn why the war began, what Japan hoped to accomplish by attacking the United States, why the U.S. declared war on Japan,how the war affected the United States and Asia, and more through fictional journal entries, newspaper articles, letters, and editorials. The activities and questions following each article encourage students to think critically about the past,ponder why people made the choices they made, and what they may have done if faced with a similar situation.
