Dike the Wolf (Animal Pride Ser)

One of Pat and Dave Sargent's animal story, character development books for children. Each deals with issues that concern elementary school children. Each also has a 10-20+ page science, 'animal facts' section in the back discussing the real animal that the fictional story is about. This one is about Dike the wolf pup leaving the pack and trying to make it on his own. Dike learns that to succeed he needs his friends, extended family and his other support adults This book deals with concepts like the dangers of running away from home, working together, listening to responsible adults and following directions.
