Trouble at the Forks

Through all of my research I have come to know and sympathize with a simple, hard working group of isolated mountain farmers who were trying hard to scrounge out a puny living and were happy for the privilege. Almost as hard as their long hours of toil, they had to deal with the lawlessness that frequently abused them. My intention is to reveal their plight and how they dealt with it.
