New York Fire - Millennium Edition

This is the original first edition "official history of the FDNY" published in 2000 by the Fire Department Institute. It features an illustrated history of firefighting in New York City from 1648 until the year 2000. Special attention is paid to the formation and work of the paid department, the FDNY from 1865 on. This edition also contains company pictures with a thumb nail history of each unit, and the many different bureaus including: training, fire investigations, and communications.
