Both girls and boys of various racial or ethnic backgrounds are used in the illustrations. Discussion of the world of work, getting a job, kinds of jobs, careers, and the concept of job clusters are included. Activities suggested include a class job fair, radio or television talk show, role play, card sort, and special reports. Jobs are distinguished from careers..
