How to Do Science Experiments With Children : Grades 1-3

Each of the 70 experiments is given a name that first through third graders will find amusing. Some, such as "I Get a Charge Out of You," which demonstrates positive and negative charges by having a student rub a balloon on his or her hair and observe the effects of static electricity, are very basic. Others, such as "Wooly Wonder," which uses steel wool to demonstrate that oxygen is used up during the rusting process, are moderately involved. Each can be easily undertaken in the span of single class period.
