A text that grew from a research project sponsored by the US Department of Health and Human Services in 1992. The authors provide overviews of nine programs directed towards at-risk youth, including the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Miami, the Oasis Center, Garfield Youth Services, and Teen Connections.
