On October 23, 1983, a suicide bomber rammed a truck filled with explosives into barracks housing United States Marines in Beirut, Lebanon. Two hundred forty-one Americans died that day. Among them, Sgt. Mecot Camara. His little sister, Elisa, their family and the small town of Hinton, West Virginia would never be the same.
