Everybody knows Liberty's famous fabrics, but in the period from the 1870s to the First World War Liberty's were also famous for their furniture, glass, ceramics, jewellery, silver and pewter. The store had a unique record of participation I the major artistic movements of the day, particularly the aesthetic movement of the 128i70s and 1880s, the arts and crafts movement of the 1890s, and art nouveau at the turn of the century.
