Royal House: A Novel

It was almost Christmas, 1918. Returning from war-torn Europe to his home in Provo, Utah, Hanson Eastman sat in his train coach and listened to the voices echoing in the sound of steel rails: the murmur of the old Indian Grandmother Rain, the voice of his old aunt Mara, and the voice of his father Ashel and his mother Caroline, and then penetrating all of these voices, a quiet lament from the girl he left five years ago. It was Grace who seemed to be pleading with him now: "I am waiting. We are all waiting for you to come home." Thus begins the story of Royal House, a sequel to Shadows of Angels.
