Scotland’s Story, by H. E. Marshall was originally written with the goal of making learning history something children could understand and enjoy. Starting at the beginning of Scottish history and spanning into the 1800’s this book covers the triumphs and struggles of the Scottish people as well as certain Heroes and Villains of Scotland; William Wallace, Robert Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots and many others. Some stories are sad such as the struggles of the Covenanters, or the story of the “Glen of Weeping”. Readers will find the characters whether good or evil come to life before their eyes. A great way to learn about Scottish History.
