The Mystery of the Stolen Football

When a rival player brings a football signed by a professional quarterback to a game, Jack, the Sonics' star center, can't wait to see it. Before the first kickoff, Jack sneaks in to the other team's locker room to check out the ball. Then the football disappears! Jack would never steal anything . . . or would he? The clues are very mysterious:

An ink-stained locker.
A strange metal object.
An ice-cream bar.

If Jack didn't take the football, who did? The rest of the Sonics must prove Jack's innocence-and find the real thief-or Jack will be thrown out of the league! Will the gang be able to solve The Mystery of the Stolen Football before the last down?
