LOVE notes from the bear

Texas music legend Jon Dee Graham, the only artist to be inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame three times, has had a rich and storied career spanning over three decades with 10 albums of his own, and having contributed to over 60 other albums: he has played with everyone from John Doe, Patty Griffin, Alejandro Escovedo, to James McMurtry, Kelly Willis and Michelle Shocked. Along the way Graham has also become known for his endearing, funny, poignant and moving bear art. What began as sketches done during down time at the Motel 6 on tour or at sound check has mysteriously grown into a "thing." Hundreds of pieces, both originals and prints, have been sold over the last few years. But to date the only collection was a small run chap book with sold out immediately 2014. Meanwhile in his day to day comings and goings Graham always leaves a note on the dining room table for his wife saying where he's gone and what's he doing. And of course, the bears managed to sneak into these notes. Some elaborate, some hastily scrawled. Some on Bristle paper, some on cardboard torn from a box, and some on the back of a receipt. All were saved much to Graham's surprise. We are happy to present the first collection of these love notes as a gift for you and your loved ones. These notes, while often personal, express a universal bond and expression of love. And also bears!
